EVELYN PANAGAKOU

I’m very happy you are here. Please take a moment to explore my site, where you’ll find details on my background, experience, skills and more. To learn more or connect on an opportunity, don’t hesitate to reach out.

I am the Education, Outreach, and Diversity Coordinator of the Network Science Institute. In this role, I've had the opportunity to work on a variety of interesting and inspiring educational projects both at NetSI and the NU broader campus, as well as with external collaborators. I am also a member of the Executive Committee in the Complex Systems Society (CSS).

A higher education professional and a critical thinker with passion for STEM and education. With a background in both natural sciences and education, I aim at enriching traditional teaching strategies in STEM with state-of-the-art pedagogical findings. A strong advocate of developing a high-quality, challenging yet personalized and enjoyable educational experience that enables students (both undergraduate and graduate ones) to feel part of an active and caring community, develop critical thinking, and discover the beauty science and research.

I love teaching and mentoring students as well as guiding them to explore learning and professional opportunities that will lead to career and personal growth. Creating the classroom environment that welcomes my students, focusing on the learning needs of each one of them, and contributing to their development through challenging yet enjoyable tasks, is what guides my practice.
